Education policies and curriculum implemented since 2011 establish a break with principles and practices already appropriated by schools and teachers. This context motivated the proposal of a cycle of debates in which legacies and challenges arising from this new political framework are discussed. The aim is to promote a debate among the scientific community of Educational Sciences and other educational stakeholders on present prevalent issues of schools. We also intend to mobilize reading frames and analysis of educational policies and curricula and relate them to the practices developed by schools associated with the Observatory. Each debate session will have an Educational Researcher that will have the task of frame a specific educational issue. Each session will also have representatives of schools that work with the Observatory with the task of emphasize what their school does in relation to the discussed issue or what could they do. The debates take place in the auditorium 1 of FPCEUP, always at Thursdays, from 17:30 to 20:00 pm.
